Where can I find entry level dental jobs?

I will be graduating december 2010 and i iwll have about eight months off before hopefully going to dental school. In that time, I would like to stay in the field of dental any way i can so im looking for a paid job. I don’t have x-ray certification or any training except shadowing a dentist and being a college graduate. What dental related jobs are out there and how can I find one in CT where they hire you AND give you actual training. Should I just call each dental clinic in connecticut and see what positions they have open for a college grad with no real training? Please help. Thanks.

You’re going to have a hard time trying to find any sort of position in the dental field. You bring no skills to the table and plan on leaving in 8 months. It takes too long and costs too much to get someone trained right. No smart dentist would do that. You may be able to find a job working for free for some of these docs and learn a few things. Only thing is that you won’t utilize any of it for several years in the program and by the time you graduate, it will be outdates anyways. I don’t mean to burst your bubble, but you’d be better off finding a job somewhere else.
